Founded in 1992, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (CCIFC) is a nonfor-profit private association under Chinese law, which aims at representing the interests and promoting the development of French companies in China. Counting 1603 members, CCIFC is headquartered in Beijing and covers the entire country through 3 branches (Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou), 2 offices (Shenzhen and Chengdu) as well as representatives in numerous other cities (Dalian, Qingdao, Chongqing, Kunming and Zhuhai). Its bi-cultural team comprises 42 collaborators fully dedicated to its members. It is steered by a Board of 30 members who are elected every two years and who define the strategic orientations of the French Chamber.
CCIFC has 3 main missions. First of all it brings together and drives the French and Chinese business communities through various events, providing a vibrant platform for exchange and networking opportunities. It also defends its members’ interests and ties up with key players in the Chinese economy, along with top-level French institutions. Finally, it offers companies a wide range of services to facilitate their access to the Chinese market (business centers, visas, recruitment, training…) as well as to accompany those wishing to establish themselves in China through a dedicated counseling team. This department includes a “Chinese Desk”, which objective is to assist Chinese businesses interested in the French market.
As the 3rd largest French Chamber worldwide, CCIFC belongs to a wider network, CCI France International, which gathers 113 French Chambers in 83 countries. It also cooperates with French chambers in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea on a regional level, and works jointly with all the French institutions in China to better pool France’s resources locally.
